PROGRAMS
My program involves some of my permanent rescue residents, who are all healthy and child friendly. I bring in several species of snakes and lizards for an interactive experience. All reptiles can be handled. Some are also available for feeding demonstrations.
Children get the chance to learn about the behaviour patterns and proper care of lizards and snakes. I bring in snake skin sheds, live insects, and other visuals to show the essentials of reptile care. Children are fascinated with the different textures of skin and are quite interested in each reptile’s personal story. I love watching the look of wonder on a child’s face when they meet Oscar, my personality-filled, full grown iguana.
