World Premiere moved to Super Channel / State of The Project

We are going through some interesting times in the film industry at the moment, to put things lightly. Due to COVID-19, film festivals and theatrical exhibition has been put on indefinite pause, and as such, despite the long list of festivals CLAPBOARD JUNGLE has been accepted into, we haven’t been able to play some of them, and time will tell if we will get to actually play any, in a traditional sense.

But some great news, for those who live in Canada! We were set to world premiere at Canadian Film Fest in Toronto, which of course was cancelled. But that festival stepped up in a big way, partnering with Super Channel to move the entire program to broadcast television! This means that anyone in Canada can now watch CLAPBOARD JUNGLE through a Super Channel subscription on June 5th, 9:10pm, Superchannel Fuse. This is not a regular broadcast screening, and will only repeat once, so make sure to catch it when it airs! And if you don’t have Super Channel? You can sign up through your cable provider. And if you don’t have cable? Anyone with an AmazonPrime subscription can sign up, straight through Prime. There are even free trials available! Full festival line-up and details here.

As for other fests, we have announced that we were accepted into Fantaspoa in Brazil, but are unsure when that takes place. Additionally, we were set to have our US premiere at Chattanooga Film Festival. They recently ran a successful online festival, with a partnership through Microsoft. Unfortunately, due to our current sales realities and desire to limit the release at this early point, to give us the best chance of sales and spread in the US market, we’ve made the difficult decision as a team to bow out of this festival. This is not a reflection of the festival itself, as what they ran with Microsoft was really impressive, it just didn’t work with our current sales status in the US.

We will continue to update you as the release continues, and the 8-episode companion series is completed. Thank you for your patience, and stay safe!
